My system on start-up searches for an executable and gives me a warning! How can I cure it of this problem? The ugly warning is that ibm00001.exe is missing. A big x appears with the message: Cannot find the file 'ibm00001.exe' (or one of its components). Make sure the path and filename are correct and that all required libraries are available. This has been in place a long time! I think I deliberately deleted the file it is calling thinking it was spy ware. What was it? It bothers me. It looks very sloppy when I start my machine. AVG Anti-Virus Free messed up my computer? The other day a virus hit my computer. After a few days off trying to get rid of it my friend recommended I use AVG to get rid of it. So I downloaded AVG, scanned my computer, and cleaned all the infections. After I restarted my computer I noticed that several icons on my desktop were missing. system machanic? where can i download a free system machanic or something as good to clean up my computer

how do i do a system restore? I just got a free desktop computer from a family member and i cleaned it out and did a disk clean up and a defragment on it and for some reason the screen keeps flashing ....not the desktop background but the start bar and the icons...just at random intervals and i dont know how to stop it...so im thinking i may need to do a system restore. but its been so long since ive owned a desktop that i dont konw how to do it...i dont remember. help here? how do i do it or what do you think may be wrong?
