Are there computer games with the topologies of mobius strips, klein bottles, etc? Or any alternative topology? (I know that a lot of classic games have alternative topologies - hell - ones where you just move onto the left side of the screen after you "fall off" on the right side of the string are common). But really, what of more complex topologies than those found in the real world? It would be interesting to do that... (especially if there was a map made of the alternative topology)...

What would my wireless ''network' s" topology considered to be? me and my family really dont share resources other than a computer, but idk what the topology could be. some computers are hardwired to the router and some are wirelessly connected. I thought maybe "star" but does the router act as a switch and know what packets go where? or does it send the packet to everyone like a bus? I'd say mesh but i thought mesh was more of a physical thing where all computers where hard-wired to the router. ugh. so confused.

Freeware that detects and maps network topology? Hey guys, I am a computer technician and I am doing more networking jobs. I just wanted to know if anyone knows of a good program that I could plug into a computer and have it give you all the information of a network and map out it's topology. This would be very helpful and a nice time saver. Thank you in advance for anyone with information. (By the way, don't worry about compatibility too much. Just make sure it's for windows and Windows 7 compatibility would be a plus).

In star-bus topology, why is it logical bus? It's obvious that it's physical star b/c the way machines are connected. In my book, a number of computers are connected to a central hub. But I don't get why it's logical bus. Someone here was saying it's because data will be sent through all machines which is the characteristic of the bus topology. But, then again, in a logical star, it seems the data should reach all machines as well because we have a central device (a hub, in this case) to pass information to all computers. Therefore, there's no difference between the logical bus and logical star. Then, how can we conclude it's a logical bus? Thanks in advance!
Star Topology Working Model For School? I am a class 10 student and I am to make a working model on Star Topology(Network).
