Which network topology will be best suited for 10 computer labs with 100 PCs in each ?

For open access. The staff amount to +/-42, and each staff will require a single network point.

2. Yup, star. First level router connects to the Internet to share Internet for the whole network (unless you want to admin it thru server's Internet sharing), then router to 48-port switch to divide your network into 11 VLAN, each VLAN used 4 ports from this first switch, 4 cables from that for each VLAN will go to each lab (plus 1 to second level switch for all staffs.) In each lab, connect the 4 cables from the that first level switch to 4 more switches to provide 100+ port total for each lab.
